About Hampta Pass and Chandratal Lake Trek
Hampta Pass a popular yet amazing trail of beautiful Himachal Pradesh, is a beautiful crossover trek which starts from beautiful lush green valley of Kullu, Pir Panjal Range and ends in beautiful Himalayan mountain deserts of Lahaul Spiti. One can witness the change in terrain from lush greeneries to extreme boulders and then finally to the arid mountain desert landscape. And the thing which adds a spice and magical flavor to this beautiful trek is the Chandratal Lake, lying at an altitude of 4250m. The beautiful serene lake, with mesmerizing colors, and mountains in the background, prayer flags fluttering around, takes the traveller to the mood of serenity, peace and tranquility, the tiredness and the exhaustion gets vanished suddenly, when one stands infront of this beautiful lake.
The trail of Hampta pass starts from Jobra Nalla, one can expect three different scene changes in just the first two days from alpine forest of birch,oak,cedar, Maple to the green meadows and then to moraine. One can see a green valley on one side and a cold desert valley on the other side at a time. Initial side of the pass is gradual ascent which helps in a successful summit and the other side of a pass is steep descent which gives all the mountain rush you were waiting for. Indrasan, Deo Tibba and Indrakila are visible from the pass. Stream crossing through icy cold waters is one of the most thrilling experiences of Hampta Pass Trek.
The trek goes up to an altitude of 14,100 ft at its highest point.
Hampta Pass is in a small corridor between Lahaul's Chandra Valley and the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. This pass is frequently used by shepherds of the lower Himalayan region, seeking high altitude grasslands in the summer, when the dry cold desert of Lahaul is barren.

Best time for Hampta Pass is from June to Mid October, monsoon season is regarded as the best time for Hampta Pass for it's blooming flowers and lush green valley. A trek which is perfectly recommended for the beginners.

Reporting at Manali, the reporting place and hotel will be informed prior to the group. On arrival in Manali, briefing and registration to be completed by every trekkers and participants. Spend your leisure day in Manali. Overnight stay at Hotel/Homestay.
After morning breakfast drive to Jobra Nallah, then trek to Chikka, which is approximately 4KMs. The trail is mostly gradual ascent through small meadows and forest and Hampta Nallah on the side of the trails. Trail runs through deodar trees, wild roses, irises and chestnut Overnight stay at camp.
After early morning breakfast trek to Balu Ka Ghera(3727M), which is approximately 7KMs. The trail is mostly gradual ascent through small boulder zones, meadows and forest. Trail runs through deodar trees, wild roses, irises and chestnut Overnight stay at camp.
After morning breakfast,trek to Shea Goru ,altitude 3,860m. via Hampta Pass(4275 M) of distance 8km, this is the longest day of the entire trek, the trail is Moderate to gradual ascent and descent.An hour of gradual ascent after which the trail becomes steep uphill till the pass, interspersed with short descend, 2 hours of steep descent from the pass, easing off into a flat walk. One witnesses the amazing view of the high mountains and meadows and one starts to spot Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, Indrakila. Overnight stay in camp.
After morning breakfast, trek to Chattru, which is at an altitude of 3,272m. of distance 7 km. The trail is of moderate of 3 hours of walking on moraine and loose rocks on gentle inclines, followed by a descent across couple of glacial flows. After reaching Chattru drive to Chandrataal Lake, and loose yourself in the magical essence of serenity and beauty. The Lake adds an immense magical flavour to the entire trek.
Visit Chandrataal and return to Chhatru camp.
After morning breakfast drive to Manali via Rohtang Pass. Expect to reach Manali by 1-2PM, we will leave you to Manali bus stand, our journey ends here, take only memories leave only footprints.

Booking Policy:
To book your trek, you need to pay 30% of the trek fees as advance. Rest 70% to be paid in cash when you reach the basecamp, to be collected by the team leader.
One can pay the amount online(Net Banking, GPay, UPI ID).

Cancellation Policy:

30 days before the trek date, full refund of the paid amount

15 days before the trek date, 50% refund of the paid amount.

Cancellation less than 15days to the start date of the trek, no refund possible

In case Himalayan Passion cancels the trek or trip, full refund will be paid.

One has option to send another person on their behalf.

One has option to adjust the paid amount on any other trek, if a person cannot join the trek he/she paid for.
