Dafeyvir La Trek

The Uttarey/Singalila round trek in Sikkim is all along the high ridges of the Singalila Range bordering Sikkim and Nepal. This challenging and off-the-beaten trek, pioneered by none other than the legendary mountaineer, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, is over steep and rocky terrain, lush green valleys, fast-flowing rivers, and beautiful high altitude lakes. It offers striking and majestic views of the Sikkim and Nepal Himalayas including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga from countless viewpoints. The trail starts from Uttarey Valley of West Sikkim, continuing along Singalila ridge bordering the southwestern Sikkim and Nepal border and reentering Sikkim.  Popular Yuksom Goecha La trail lies further east to this trail, around a 3/4 days hike from Dafeybhir joining in Dzongri. One can add Goechala in this trail, if wishes, the trail to Goechala gets divided from Dzongri. Almost 10 high-altitude lakes are spreading on and around the trail. Most of these are on the trail, for few have to take a detour around an hour. this trail is a mix of both panoramic and closes up. After leaving Chewabhanjang, we take the famous Singalila ridge much northerly than usual Sandakphu Phalut trail. We walk facing much acclaimed and revered Sleeping Buddha, a typical formation of Kanchendzongha and neighboring high mountains. For more than 2 days you will continue on the ridge witnessing the beauty High Himalayan mountains host of peaks in Sikkim and neighboring Nepal.
